"Isabella", this beautiful name was spoken spontaneously by Carl FW Borg Ward as his employees raised the question as to the name of the latest Borgward model. Who was he thinking about at that moment?
Our Isabella is from the first series and was built in 1958. As a brand new car it was delivered in the U.S.A and up to 2006 only had one change of ownership. Then the well-known Borgward dealer in the U.S.A, Hans Bruckner, took over the Isabella. He placed the Isabella in its current beautiful state. The engine was overhauled and has since then driven about 5.000 km and runs very well. The interior and wood trim is in excellent condition.
The body clearances are consistent and up to the sill, this Isabella is not welded. It even has the rare original sheet metal fenders.
