Arden Racing driver E. Piro has already demonstrated a few times that he feels comfortable at the Nuerburg Ring and also during the  fifth race of the season that he was completely in his element. After qualifying in tenth place, he dashed forward on a wet road through the field of competitors and after just three laps he succeeded fifth in the first race. During the race though he fell victim to an over- motivated competitor, who shot him out of bounds and therefore took care of the premature end of the race.
 
After such a bad luck in the first run, Arden Racing was again able to be competitive in the second run and gained 13th. Accordingly E. Piro was satisfied at the finish: "Apart from the loss in the first race we have delivered a great performance. Scores were quiet good and my Arden Racing MINI ran perfectly."
