The 1960s are just starting and no one suspects at all how "wild" this decade will be. In 1961, Jaguar launches the E-Type and brings one of today's most spectacular sports cars on the market. The exciting design by Malcolm Sayer, the sophisticated vehicle body and powerful engines, make the E-Type unique.
Interestingly, at that time the Roadster's were generally cheaper than the Coupe´s. This has changed over the years and today Roadster´s trade much higher than the more expensive Coupes.
Our E-Type Roadster offered here is one of the first built and was delivered as a new vehicle to the Canary Islands. There it remained until 1996 still in first ownership, was moved only about 25,000 km and was still in absolute original condition. This extraordinary specimen changed owners in 1996 and over the following years was repainted. Gentle technical modifications were made such as, among other things, the 8 x 15 "Arden chrome spoke wheels, a special Arden sport suspension, a more efficient oil circulation system and a manifold. This car has a power of approximately 290 hp. In 2007, this vehicle successfully participated in the "Silvretta Classic" Rally.
Now you have the unique opportunity to acquire an E-Type Roadster in mint condition.
