MB 450 SLC 5.0 Competion

After many years of abstinence in automobile racing, Mercedes Benz started getting active at Rallye sports, again in the 1970’s. Mercedes Benz entered these Rallies with their 450 SLC 5.0 and achieved many victories until the end of the 1980’s with this model.

Here we offer a competion of the 450 SLC 5.0 Rally car. The original vehicle, which is in our collection, has the famous number-plate S-DV 9032

This vehicle has several entries in countless books and there are even some model cars available. The drivers of the SLC were Waldegaard, Thorszelins and Preston. In the Bandama Rally, still one of the toughest rallies ever organized, this vehicle finished in second place. Our competion has been built on an identical vehicle in 1979 with the identical specifications. Models from the 450 SLC 5.0 without sunroof and air conditioning are extremely rare.
