Krefeld/Kleve, Januar 2018| „Arden British Day“ – This was the topic of the third cooperation between Arden Krefeld and the Rhein Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve.
Since 1972, Arden has been dedicated to the refinement of exclusive automobiles with a special focus on Jaguar, Range Rover, Bentley and MINI vehicles. Due to growing demand, the Arden Classic business has also been expanded for several years. In 2016, the Arden British Day was launched on the green meadows of the historic site Burg Zelem. This classic automobile event concentrating on predominantly British oldtimer cars was met by stunning success and attracted the attention of a student group around Professor Dr. Dirk Reiser.
How can you improve the launch events in the third year – that was the task of the bachelor students at the faculty of alternative tourism. At the end of the semester the group mentioned interesting aspects for the optimization of the Arden British Day during the presentation of their project work . The parking guidance system, the imagery of the advertising media, Pay-What-You Want as a contribution to the costs of the previously free show, stalls selling British products such as tea,jam or wine for the picnic fans and a play area for all ages, highlighted by a balloon ride for the whole family – all these ideas will be incorporated into the concept of the next Arden British Day.
The castle tours for children, a project work of Prof. Reiser’s bachelor students in the fall semester of 2015/2016 Prof., have already been successfully carried out. Furthermore the students outlined ways of creating attractive packages with local providers for foreign guests of the event. The city of Kleve is completely committed to the British tradition, since its famous daughter Anna of Cleve survived the marriage to King Henry VIII
