Alfa Romeo 147 CUP

This Alfa 147 Cup was used by the Racing Team Holzer which included the stepbrother of Michael and Ralf Schumacher, Sebastian Stahl (Vice World Champion Alfa Romeo 147 Cup), and Jochen Arden.

The Alfa 147 Cup was the first time in the history of the German brand cup that a series vehicle participated that was powered by a diesel engine. The base vehicle used was an Alfa 147 1.9 JTD with the latest common rail direct injection. In the racing version, the pilots had approximately 119kW (160hp) at a max. torque of 350 Nm at their disposal.

The Alfa 147 Cup ties in a long tradition in the hosting of brand cups. To ensure high quality and safety in the original equipment and an absolute equality of opportunity, the race cars are built centrally by Alfa Romeo. In terms of safety equipment and chassis, however, they orientated themselves to thoroughbred racing cars. Thus, the Cup cars are designed with a welded safety cage and are extremely robust. Racing bucket seats, six-point seat belts, door nets, and an automatic fire extinguishing system also comply with modern safety standards.
